Mechanical Technicians:


We are currently looking for a Marine Diesel Mechanical Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing boats of all kinds. You will be using diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat systems, as well as installing, fabricating, rebuilding, and testing new systems.

To be considered for this role, you must have Diesel Mechanic experience. You must possess tools for trouble shooting and installation, be knowledgeable of ship systems, familiar with parts and service manuals, and have a valid driver’s license. You must also be a Canadian resident and able to meet all safety standards.

Your primary duties will include completing all work safely and within manufacturer specifications, performing maintenance on marine vessel mechanical systems, identifying current, potential and future problems, making recommendations on repairs or replacement parts, fabricating, rebuilding, and/or installing of new or replacement equipment, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and documenting and maintaining reports. You will also be expected to communicate regularly with project managers regarding repair status and concerns, work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the operation, provide leadership, guidance and instruction to other technicians, and suggest positive changes to processes or procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

This position is full-time and permanent, and the salary is $50,000.00-$90,000.00 annually. Benefits include casual dress, dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, vision care and education funding. The schedule is an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Electrical technicians:

Qualified and experienced Marine Electrical Technicians are invited to apply for a full-time, permanent position with Raven Marine Services.

This position will involve installing and repairing AC and DC equipment onboard vessels. Candidates must have experience with installing and repairing marine charging systems, inverters, generators, battery banks, thrusters, control boards, and various other components. They must have the ability to trouble shoot client reported issues on various equipment and generate parts lists for repair. The candidate must also be familiar and up to date with ABYC marine electrical codes and be able to work well unsupervised or as a part of a team.

Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and an experience of 2 years of Electrician experience. We would also prefer if the candidate had ABYC Electrical and NMEA training. Canadian resident and an ability to meet all safety standards are a necessity.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of $60,000 - $90,000 per year. Benefits include casual dress, dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, vision care and education funding. The schedule is an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
